A Little About Abilene Termite & Pest Control

Abilene Termite & Pest Control has been a locally owned business for over 70 years. It was started in 1951 by Don and Pauline Sims. Their son Dan took over the business in 1987. Dan retired in 2001 and sold the company to his cousin Carl Sims. Carl decided to retire in 2022, and the company was sold to Kurt Phillips. Kurt has lived and worked in the Abilene area his entire life. 

The pest control industry has gone through many changes in the past 70 years. Treatment methods and materials have changed dramatically. The introduction of various baits for everything from ants and cockroaches to termites. Non-repellent liquid termiticides have been very effective and have become the most popular termite control method in the U.S. Here at Abilene Termite & Pest Control; we have been using Termidor since 2001. Some things haven’t changed since 1951.
